• Japanese Garden Entrance At Hermann Park
1700 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, TX
    Not yet rated
  • Directions: The Japanese Garden is located on the northwest side of Hermann Park, across from Whistletop Prairie, along Fannin Street. On the east side of the garden (closest to the Pioneer Memorial Obelisk and Reflecting Pool) is the entryway building, with a large stone and a lantern in front of it. Head through under the roof and take an immediate left behind the dividing fence, which obscures the entrance to the restrooms from the garden.

Comments: Two gendered, single-stall locking bathrooms and a drinking fountain, and a bench nearby. Because it's in the Museum District it should be a pretty accepting area and safe place as well. They're not the nicest restrooms, because they're outside, but the door locks and it has a flush toilet and sink- as well as the divider for privacy from the rest of the garden.
